Sleepy Tigers is a Chinese language & cultural education services located in south Minneapolis, Minnesota. We offer Chinese classes, tutoring and online instruction programs to children, adults, private groups, schools, organizations, and businesses. We also offer short term relocation language training programs and travel language programs.

Our mission is to make learning Chinese FUN, not hard! All programs are custom designed for learners and limited seats are available in each class. We keep the classes small so we can give 100% of attention to every student.

Since I started with Sleepy Tigers I have a better understanding of the Chinese culture and linguistics. The classes are taught in a manner that is not intimidating but enjoyable. I have taken a Mandarin course during my University studies, but I have learned more in my 5 lessons than during the complete year in the University. Ilike the background information of what is the difference between Mandarin and the English language. I also like the explanation of why certain things are said in a particular manner, mean a particular way or put in a sentence in a particular way, this give me a sense of the whole picture and it makes it easier to understand.

My daughters and I thoroughly enjoyed the summer parent/child language classes.  Juliet is a wonderful teacher!  My girls looked forward to each session because they had so much fun learning Mandarin.  We are planning to enroll in the Sleepy Tigers language classes again this summer.  Thanks again for providing us with such a terrific learning experience!
